Want to know more about our TRX & Aerial Fabrics’ Angel?
Read our interview to Elena Buscone, passionate instructor at Milan Pole Dance Studio – Milano.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PRACTISING TRX AND AERIAL FABRICS?
I’ve started Antigravity 6 years ago, with Christopher Harrison and his method (he’s a famous coreographer from LA, working with Pink, Christina Aguilera &others). After meeting this “Peter Pan” I’ve felt in love with aerial disciplines and also discovered Aerial Fabrics. TRX is a more recent love: it “came to me” during a Fitness Convention in Germany where I’ve learned how it works and how much it can improve my workouts.
WHIC SPORTS WERE YOU PRACTISING UNTIL THEN?
Even if I am only 21 (ahah!) I’ve been working in fitness for almost 20 years. I’ve been teaching dance, aerobics, step, body building, kick boxing, acqua gym, pilates, yogilates and more after many years of specific studies and training around the world (in particular, Italy, US and Germany). At the moment I am studying massage and kinesiology.
WHY DO YOU PRACTICE THESE DISCIPLINES?
SIMPLE: I love my job and I always fall in love when I discover something new and special! Aerials make me fly, TRX makes me strong.
WHY DID YOU START TEACHING?
A few years ago I really loved performing. At a certain point something happened inside me and made me want to teach: when I believe in something what I really want is to share it with others.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF DOING TRX AND AERIAL FABRICS, IN JUST 3 WORDS?
TRX: strong and determined: a real caterpillar. Aerial Fabrics: light, sensual and… without gravity!
IF YOU WERE A SONG?
I would be SO WHAT by Pink: I really love her. She is crazy-strong-sweet.
WHICH WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT TRICK YOU’VE LEARNED?
About Antigravity, there is an inversion which is totally based on your Abdominal strength….after giving birth with C-Section I’ve lost some sensitiveness in my ABS and it’s always difficult to do it!
HOW DID TRX & FABRICS CHANGE YOU?
TRX really made me want to go back to workout and take care about me and my body. Antigravity/Aerial Fabrics gave me the opportunity to proof myself and reach some very important objectives that I considered impossible to reach!
WHAT IS THE PERFECT DIET FOR PEOPLE WHO PRACTICES THESE DISCIPLINES?
Wow this is a great topic…we are what we eat: our muscles, our organs, our cells reflect how we feed them. If we give them love, they give it back!
I love painting and cooking: I am vegan and I love to always try new recipes and discover new combinations and flavours.
THE PART OF YOUR BODY YOU LOVE THE MOST?
I love my shoulders and collarbones: they are a little protuding and strange…and this is why I love them!
WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK ABOUT THE DISCIPLINES THAT YOU TEACH?
Ahahahaha … I think I’ve heard any kind of comments about my job… From “Wow, that’s awesome” to “That is not a real job”. The ones who love me know that when I do something I put my whole self into it therefore they are fans of my “flights”.
ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR OUR READERS?
My suggestion is: try everything you want to try, your only limit is your mind. Take care of your body and do what can make you prouf of. Movement is life!
